Peacock
The two Asiatic species are the blue or Indian peafowl originally of the Indian subcontinent, and the green peafowl of Southeast Asia; the one African species is the Congo peafowl, native only to the Congo Basin. Male peafowl are known for their piercing calls and their extravagant plumage. The latter is especially prominent in the Asiatic species, which have an eye-spotted "tail" or "train" of feathers, which they display as part of a courtship ritual.
Peacock
The functions of the elaborate iridescent colouration and large "train" of feathers have been the subject of extensive scientific debate. Charles Darwin suggested that they serve to attract females, and the showy features of the males evolved through natural selection.

Clam
The Clam
The clam is a common name for several kinds of bivalve molluscs.
Bivalve mollusks have an external covering that is a two-part (bi- meaning "two"), hinged shell which contains a soft-bodied invertebrate. Bivalve mollusks include: clams, oysters, scallops and mussels.
Clams have two shells of equal size connected by adductor muscles. They also have a powerful burrowing foot. They spend most of their lives half buried in the sand along beaches and riverbanks. In culinary usage, clams are popularly eaten as clam chowder.

Oyster
The Oyster
Oyster is the common name for many different families of salt-water bivalve molluscs.
Edible oysters are considered true oysters and are part of the family Ostreidae, while pearl oysters are part of a different genus: Pinctada.
Edible oysters are commonly consumed cooked or raw at bars and restaurants while pearl oysters are harvested for the pearl produced within the mantle.

Mussel
The Mussel
The mussel is another type of bivalve mollusk, that lives in both fresh and saltwater habitats.
In most marine mussels, the shell is longer than it is wide, being wedge-shaped or asymmetrical. The external shell color is typically dark blue, blackish or brown, while the inside of the shell is silvery and somewhat nacreous.

Nautilus Shell
The Nautilus
The word nautilus is derived from the Greek word ναυτίλος nautílos or "sailor."
The nautilus is a type of marine mollusk. Mollusks are aquatic animals with shells that do not have backbones. Other types of mollusks include: squid, octopi, snails, slugs, clams, oysters, scallops and mussels.
The nautilus shell represents one of the finest natural examples of a logarithmic spiral. A logarithmic spiral is a spiral curve that often appears in nature, like a spiral galaxy (our own Milky Way) or a sunflower head.

Octopus
The Octopus
is a soft-bodied, eight-limbed mollusk of the order
Octopoda.
The octopus is also a type of marine mollusk and is considered the most intelligent of all invertebrates. The soft body can radically alter its shape, enabling octopuses to squeeze through small gaps. They trail their eight appendages behind them as they swim.
Octopi use camouflage and the expulsion of ink to defend themselves against predators. The largest known octopus species is the Giant Pacific Octopus [156 lb] that lives in the coastal North Pacific oceans.

Butterfly
The Butterfly
Butterflies are insects in the same order as moths. Butterflies have conspicuous,
brightly colored wings, and have been found in the fossil records as far back as the Paleocene era, about 56 million years ago. Butterflies have a 4-stage life-cycle, which include the eggs, the caterpillar, the chrysalis and the butterfly.
The butterfly uses mimicry and camouflage to defend themselves against predators, and are considered one of the most appealing creatures in nature.
